Smart Sensor Devices, a leading manufacturer of air quality sensors, has recently received the Wireless Power Consortium (WPC) certificate for HibouAir for the Indian market. This certification is a significant achievement for the company, as it indicates that HibouAir meets the strict standards set by the WPC and are safe to use in India.

Air pollution is a significant problem in India, with many cities and towns experiencing hazardous levels of air pollution. This has led to an increased demand for air quality sensors, which can help individuals and organizations monitor the air quality in their surrounding environment.

Smart Sensor Devices has been at the forefront of developing innovative indoor air quality monitor called HibouAIr that are accurate, reliable, and easy to use. The HibouAir uses advanced technology to measure various air quality parameters, such as particulate matter (PM1.0, PM2.5 and PM10), CO2, Pressure, Temperature, Humidity, VOC, Noise, Light etc.

To ensure that HibouAir meets the high standards required for the Indian market, HibouAir applied for the WPC certification. The WPC is a global organization that sets standards for wireless charging and communication technologies, including those used in air quality sensors.

To receive the WPC certificate, HibouAir’s sensors had to undergo rigorous testing and evaluation to ensure that they meet the WPC’s strict standards for safety, quality, and interoperability. The certification process also involved testing the sensors’ wireless communication capabilities and compatibility with other WPC-certified devices.

By receiving the WPC certification, HibouAir can now be marketed and sold in India with confidence. The certification is a testament to the company’s commitment to producing high-quality air quality sensors that are safe, reliable, and effective.

“HibouAir’s receipt of the WPC certificate for the Indian market is a significant achievement that highlights the company’s commitment to producing high-quality air quality sensors. The certification not only assures customers of the safety and reliability of HibouAir’s products but also gives the company a competitive advantage in the Indian market. With air pollution continuing to be a major problem in India, HibouAir can play a vital role in helping individuals and organizations monitor and improve air quality”, says Axel Hammar, CEO of Smart Sensor Devices.

The WPC certification also gives HibouAir a competitive edge in the Indian market, where consumers and businesses are increasingly concerned about air quality. With the certification, HibouAir’s are more likely to be trusted by customers and used by organizations, such as schools, hospitals, and government agencies, to monitor air quality and take appropriate measures to protect public health.
