In 2023, the Swedish Energy Agency and Business Sweden initiated the India-Sweden Innovations Accelerator program in India to develop innovative solutions. Among the participants were Smart Sensor Devices in Sweden AB that visited Chennai, Hyderabad, Delhi, and Ahmedabad. The program gave Smart Sensor Devices a unique opportunity to have one-to-one sessions with air quality health-conscious people, environmentalists, and stakeholders who asked relevant questions about their operations.

India is one of the largest potential markets for Swedish companies in air quality monitoring solutions. Smart Sensor Devices’ innovative air quality monitoring solution has already received favourable attention in India for its technology based on domestic demand and conditions.

The air quality monitoring device HibouAir developed by Smart Sensor Devices is designed to provide real-time data on air quality levels. Sophisticated technologies and sensors have been used to measure parameters in the air, including CO2, particulate matter (pm 1.0, PM 2.5, PM 10), VOC, pressure, temperature, humidity, Noise level etc. This data is critical in understanding the impact of indoor and outdoor air pollution on human health and the environment.

During their visit, the Smart sensor devices had a one-to-one session with air quality health-conscious people, environmentalists, and stakeholders in each of the cities. These sessions allowed Smart Sensor Devices to showcase their devices and capabilities, explain how they work, and answer any questions about their operations. The stakeholders also got an opportunity to learn about the latest technologies in air quality monitoring and how they could leverage this information to tackle air pollution and promote a healthy environment.

The Smart Sensor Devices also collected data on air quality during their visits. They measured both indoor and outdoor air pollution levels in different parts of the cities, which helped to identify the areas with the highest levels of pollution. This data could be used to inform policy decisions aimed at reducing air pollution and promoting better air quality in these cities.

The India-Sweden Innovations Accelerator program is a significant step towards promoting innovation and collaboration between India and Sweden. The program provides a platform for startups and emerging companies to develop new technologies that address global challenges such as air pollution. The participation of Smart Sensor Devices in the program is an indication of the growing interest in air quality monitoring in India and the need for more advanced and accurate technologies to address this issue.
